Morgan was featured in a short film about AIDS education and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film was donated toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan is part of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Team. Morgan has also led numerous other fundraising initiatives to fight AIDS and also testified before the special Congressional Committee about AIDS Education. Morgan is part of the Board of Governors of APLA and Board of Directors of Amfar. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has requested her to fill in for him in AIDS events and she has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special featuring news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her twice about AIDS in Nightline. Morgan has won an Emmy award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was made specifically for Morgan. The spring, she starred with Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Also, it included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. She then starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also the main character in a psychological thriller which was exclusively produced by the USA Network. It received one of the highest ratings recorded in network history.
